Privacy
The short version
Oh My Notes does not require an account. Your notes stay on your own computer as files you own. This website has no cookies, analytics, or trackers. The only personal data we may hold is an email address you choose to give us for the early-access list.
The macOS app
- Notes, to-dos and reminder settings are stored as plain Markdown (and related local files) on your Mac, by default under
~/Documents/OhMyNotes. - The app has no account system and does not upload your notes to our servers. We do not operate a notes sync or storage backend for the product.
- Reminders use macOS system notifications. Permission prompts come from the operating system.
- If you later choose optional sync through iCloud Drive, Dropbox, git, or similar, that traffic stays between your Mac and that service under that service’s terms. Oh My Notes does not receive those files.
This website
- We do not set cookies and we do not run analytics or advertising trackers on
ohmynotes.icocah.com. - Hosting is on Cloudflare Pages. Like most websites, the host may process standard technical logs (for example IP address, user agent, and requested URL) to operate and secure the site. We do not use those logs to profile visitors.
Early-access / waitlist emails
- If you join the early-access list, we collect the email address you submit, an optional note about whether you use Obsidian, and the language you were viewing the page in.
- We use that only to email you about Oh My Notes early access, downloads, and related product updates. We do not sell or rent your email.
- The form is processed by Formspree (or a successor form provider). Their processing is governed by their own privacy policy.
- To be removed from the list, email [email protected] from the address you signed up with.
Payments (when Pro launches)
Nothing is charged during early access. When paid Pro launches, checkout will be handled by a payment provider. Card details are processed by that provider, not stored by us. Refund terms will be shown at checkout (planned: 14 days).
