Your today, always on top.
A small floating window for your notes, to-dos and reminders. It stays above every app, even fullscreen, and fades back when you’re not using it. Summon it with a hotkey, jot something down, get back to work. Everything is saved as plain Markdown files on your Mac.

Free to try. No account. Waitlist members get the Pro early-bird price ($7.99 instead of $12.99).
Out of sight shouldn’t mean out of mind.
Most notes apps are great at storing things and bad at reminding you they exist. Oh My Notes keeps the few things that matter today where you can actually see them.
Always visible. Never in the way.
Hit the pin on any note and it floats above every other window, including fullscreen apps, your IDE, Figma or a video call, so nothing can cover it.
When you click away, it fades to the opacity you choose (40–100%), so you can still read what’s underneath. Click it and it’s back at full strength.
Summon, jot, gone
A global quick-capture hotkey opens a note from any app. Type, close, keep working. No window hunting.

How it stacks up

Questions
How does sync work?
Oh My Notes doesn’t run a sync service. Your notes are plain files in ~/Documents/OhMyNotes; if you have iCloud “Desktop & Documents” turned on, macOS syncs them for you. Soon you’ll be able to pick any folder (iCloud Drive, Dropbox, a git repo, your Obsidian vault) and sync it however you like.
Do I need an account? What about privacy?
No account. Your notes stay on your Mac as files you own; Oh My Notes has no server that stores them. This website has no trackers or analytics. The only thing we collect is the email you choose to give us for the waitlist.
Does it work with Obsidian?
Today your notes are Markdown files Obsidian can open, but they live in their own folder. Coming soon: point Oh My Notes at your vault and save to-dos as standard - [ ] checkboxes Obsidian can read. If you use Obsidian, tick “Yes” on the form and you’ll help decide how this works.
Is there a Windows or Linux version?
Available now for macOS · Windows in development · Linux coming next. The Mac app came first; a Windows version is being built now, and Linux will follow soon after. No dates yet. Join the list and we’ll email you when your platform is ready.
iPhone or iPad?
Not yet. An iOS companion is on the longer-term list. Until then, Apple Reminders sync (coming soon) is the planned way to get reminders on your phone.
What if Pro isn’t for me? Refunds?
Nothing is charged during early access. When Pro launches, the plan is a no-hassle refund within 14 days of purchase if it doesn’t work for you; the final terms will be shown at checkout.
